Our Story

A family, a farmhouse, and the almond trees.

Tal-Gidi Farmhouse has stood in the Maltese countryside for generations. We restored it not to change it, but to open its doors — and we call ourselves Tal-Lewża, "of the almond", after the trees around it.

Limestone farmhouse with blue shutters in the shade of the trees

Kept in the family for over a century.

Tal-Gidi Farmhouse was built by hand in the 1800s, its limestone quarried a field away. For decades it sheltered a working farm — olives, citrus, and the almond trees that gave Tal-Lewża its name.

Today we share it with those looking for something rare in Malta: a private place, unhurried and unmistakably local, to gather the people who matter.
